A return to Conscription isnt feasible

o-Where do you House the Draftees?

o-Where do you train them?

o-How are they paid? same rate as Volunteers?

o-DoD Budget would need MASSIVE increases to have a Draft.

The first draft in the United States took place during the War Between the States when the Confederacy initiated the draft in April 1862. The United States government initiated the National Enrollment Act which created the draft in the North in March 1863. The draft remained in effect continually until it was discontinued in 1973.
