Do you believe that God is almighty & do you believe he can make a mountain that he can't move? If in fact you believe this how can God be almighty if he can't move a mountain?
I happen to be a Christian but I'm sick & tired of the way some of you people go off on gays, so my uncle who's an atheist gave me this question for you to answer
PS LEAVE THE GAY PEOPLE ALONE unless you can answer this question

Well now, behold unto thee o lord the arrogance of some of your children. The question has validity on it's face, but in true "so called Christian" fashion, the false believers have come crawling out of the wordwork like so much vermin.

The point being made in the question is a simple one, if God, having created the mountain, chooses to then destroy it, it is for Him and Him alone to do so, by His will and/or by His wisdom. It is not however, the purview of Christians to declare the mountain is wrong or unsightly simply because it exists. If God made the mountain, and I believe He did, then He had reason for it and He saw that it was good, or would those of you "so called Christian" now dare to say something God created was not good. The mountain we are speaking of is Homosexuality and let us be clear, He did create it. Whether foolish ignorance or wilful spite guides you, as sadly, it does for many here, it does not negate that truth.

Now, for those of you who would wish gays to just keep quiet and go away, it is you who need to look into yourselves and judge your own hateful ways, and yes, it is hate. Wash and scrub all you want but the mark that your hate has made isn't going away. You are obvious in your spite, you are pathetic in your arrogance, you are children of the shadows who cower at the very idea that you are not in fact Gods only children.

Finally, let me say this because clearly many of you have missed the point and moreover have clearly no knowledge of the book you blindly cling to without knowing it's words. The Bible is not english nor is it Greek, it is Hebrew and Aramaic. This is important so that you will have understanding as to what I am to say. Nowhere, not one passage, not one word, not one thought of God or Christ has ever condemned, admonished or in any way judged homosexuals.......man did that and he did so with vile pressumption and blind ambition. God nor Christ has ever chastised the homosexual nor has He ever admonished him from being who he is. Leviticus is NOT the word of God, it is the civil law of the Pharisees of Jerusalem. Sodom was not destroyed because of Homosexuals but for the wickeness of all the people. As for Corinthians and Romans, the admonition was to prostitutes NOT homosexuals.

Read the book for real, stop cherry picking your hate, and do not take God as your shield and sword for the purpose of lying and obfuscation.

Here endeth the lesson

Well, I think God is logical enough to not make a mountain that He can't move just to prove something to people who are suppose to have faith, meaning to believe without proof. He created this entire world, so one mountain really wouldn't be much of a challenge anyway. We are told in the bible not to test the Lord our God, and I think that's pretty reasonable.

As far as gay people, you probably should have said this was to "gay bashing christians", as we don't all have a problem with gays. As far as I'm concerned, we're all sinners, and I have my own to deal with before I feel the need to run around judging people on theirs. Also, Jesus made quite clear that only those without sin, meaning none of us, has the right to be throwing stones.

As Christian's the mountain that get's moved are in our lives and the movement depend's on our faith that He can move it.He can do anything according to our faith.Of course He can do anything. Why would He make a mountain that He can't move? That's illogical.God is logic. We are ruled by the flesh and the desire's of the flesh which is contrary to God.He is Spirit and we are to worship Him in Spirit. If we let the Spirit rule us then we won't go off on any body.He is the Judge.Remember what Jesus said about the mote in the eye of our brother ? we are to first get rid of the beam in our own eye.Judge not for with what judgement you judge that's how you will be judged.

Of course I believe that God can make a mountain so vast that He Himself can't lift it! Then He goes home and has a good laugh at His own expense, has a nice cup of tea and some chocolate cake and does a bit of gardening and talks to the cats....Then the next day, He goes out, and makes the mountain into a molehill and moves it down here for the various Highway Deptartments to make back into Mountains again. He wouldn't be God if He couldn't laugh at Himself.
Blessings. (wink wink, nudge nudge....)

Actually your question does not even deserve an answer the way you asked it. You claim to be a Christian & yet you are for the gays, Then you are against God's word & that makes your Christian ideal Void, Now Can God make a mountain that he can not move. God can make a mountian any size & move it, Now I know exactly what you are going to say, see there God can not do everything, Yes my friend God can do everything, But God will not do it just to satisfy your ego, which is very low at this time. Why do you think In Job 26:7 It is written that He stretched out of the north over the empty place & hangeth the earth upon nothing. So now you can see If God can hang the earth upon nothing, Then he can do what HE wants & not what you think he should do. By the way, I will scream from the top of my voice to gays & lesbians, Your Judgement day is coming. It may be that you are gay.

That's quite a strange link you have going there: "If you can't explain an unexplainable question then don't express your opinion about a certain subject that only those that agree with me are allowed to express"

What you are commenting on is God's omnipotence. Omnipotence is not the ability to do anything conceivable, but the ability to do anything consistent with His nature and consistent with His desire within the realm of His unlimited and universal power which we do not possess. This does not mean He can violate His own nature. If He did something inconsistent with His nature, then He would be self contradictory. If God were self contradictory, He would not be true. Likewise, if He did something that violated his nature, like make a rock so big He can't pick it up, He would also not be true since that would be a self contradiction. Since truth is not self contradictory, as neither is God, if He were not true, then He would not be God. But God is true and not self contradictory, therefore, God cannot do something that violates His own nature.

What you are asking is that God become self contradictory as a proof He doesn't exist. Their assertion is illogical from the start. So what you are doing is trying to get God to be illogical. You want to use illogic to prove God doesn't exist instead of logic. It doesn't work and the "paradox" is self-refuting and invalid.

So, now that I have explained the falacy of your question I suppose that I am free to express my opinion on gays regardless of what your opinion is, right? As if I needed your permission.

I don't "go off on gays" !! but if a gay person makes a statement or asks a question I will respond with God in mind. and what God says about it is what we say(as Christians). Some Christians just aren't nice about it. Gays can't handle hearing the truth sometimes.
And what does God moving a mountain have to do with gays and proof of God?

I believe in the Almighty God and He can move mountains. I met a group of ministers in Nigeria that wanted to test their faith and said to a near by mountain and be cast in to the sea. The next day trucks came and hauled the mountain away one truck of dirt at a time...Today it's gone. God can move mountains.
Does that answer your question?

I believe that God is Almighty.... I believe that God can do anything He wants to do... but why would he make a mountain on your command? to insinuate that He cannot do something is rather pompous no matter what the basis of your question comes from.... how about a question like this

why did God make people who will not be moved into recognizing that He truly is God?

because people CHOOSE to make their way in life... they choose to follow or they choose to not follow. they choose to believe or not believe.... God won't make people believe in Him... he COULD if he wanted minions... but He loves us enough to let us make decisions out of free will....

I'll pray for your atheist uncle

All of you who say you can't be gay and be a christian,
can you curse and still be a christian, can you JUDGE and still be a christian?? We are ALL sinners apart from the blood of Jesus Christ washing us clean.. We should all watch those millstones that can so easily be tied around our necks. Getting in the path of someone's way to God is probably serious business.
