Escherichia coli (Ecoli) is a leading cause of foodborne illness. Infection with E. coli often leads to bloody diarrhea, and occasionally to kidney failure.
Hemorrhagic colitis, the first E. coli symptom, is characterized by the sudden onset of abdominal pain and severe cramps, followed within 24 hours by diarrhea. As the disease progresses, the diarrhea becomes watery and then may become grossly bloody - bloody to naked eye. E. coli symptoms sometimes include vomiting, but rarely fever.

E. Coli is a type of bacteria. it can be good, or bad. Good E. Coli live in your intestines, and help digest food. other E. Coli help develop vitamin k or something, which is not produced naturally. E. Coli grows well in sewage, so it is used as an indicator in water.
E. Coli poisoning is basically food poisoning. Symptoms include vomiting, and diharreah.
This year, there was some kind of spinach outbreak, and all of it was recalled. in 2006, 49 people in ohio died of E. Coli.
