I have tried shampoos for dry scalp, dandruff and psoriasis and have gotten little relief. I am scratching myself raw. Anyone have any ideas that might help?

See a dermatologist. Have you tried Neutrogena's T gel?

Is it very red and raw as well? And does it flake if you scratch it? If so, you probably have what I had in the past - it's called "seborrheic dermatitis".

You must see a doctor about it.

You will be prescribed a steroid cream called "dermovate", which is what happened in my case. The doctor might also prescribe a special shampoo for you to use.

Using both the shampoo and cream, my patch disappeared after just a few weeks. It has never come back since (that was seven years ago now!).

Try my advice!

I get that too... Right at the back of my head, where my ponytails sit on my head... I started using Head & Shoulders with "Hydrazinc" a couple weeks ago and I haven't really had a problem with it since then. I mean, there's an occasional itch, but I'm not constantly scratching it anymore.
