It appears to me that many of you would say, "I would board it" even knowing it is a doomed ship, and your chances of drowning or dying of exposure are VERY high, indeed.
The reason I say that is that this world (the earth) IS the titanic (spiritually speaking) and is about to "go under", yet most of you refuse to take the 'life raft' of Jesus, and get off, before it is TOO LATE, just as the people of Noah's day refused to believe his (and more importantly, God's) warnings about the disaster shortly to come to pass.
NO, it won't be water this time around, but something much worse! Read the Book of Revelation (KJV) for details of the events of which I speak.

To Amber: No, actually the two are very much the SAME, in that you are willing to stay on a sinking ship (this earth/world) when you have been plainly warned (by God, in his Word) that disaster is about to strike, believing that this world is 'unsinkable', when the Lord (who made it) says it is NOT!
There's nothing HA-HA about it, and you will definitely not be laughing when it comes, as neither were the passengers aboard on April 14th.
HEED the warning, lest you die!

I fear not, Moonmist-it is you who could use a little (actually, a lot) of fear.
The old religion? You can't get any older than the God who created ALL! Think about that for a while.
What you really mean is the old witchcraft-not all Christians are as ignorant and dumb as you think.

Knowing what I know of the Titanic I would wait for the next ship.

well being that anyone in THIS time knows what happened to the ship, so if it were 1912 everyone would board it not knowing, so your talking time travel in order for someone to make a choice based on the facts.
As far as faith goes, each person must choice there path in life. I often wonder why in the world would a god choice to destroy a world he supposedly created and why does he want his followers to live in fear all the time??? just things that always made me go hhhhhhhhmmmmm
I think I'll stick with the path of the old religion and be happy.

Well, if I had the choice between suffering on a doomed ship or delaying my trip for a couple of days, I think I would have checked into the nearest motel and waited it out.
But if I was like everyone else on that ship, then yes, I would have gotten on. At the time, it seemed like a great opportunity.
Are you trying to make a point concerning fate/predestination? Because if so, it's lost on me since I don't believe in either :)

I'm just interested in what point you are going make with this question. I have an idea, but may be way off.
*Added*
I figured this was going to be a "world is the Titanic, do you have a 'lifeboat', hurry the end is near" point.
Wow, if I can predict that, I need to go buy a lotto ticket. If only lotto numbers were as easy to predict a christians. I would be rich man.

Absolutely I'd go on it. This ship and the stories I've read about it have fascinated me from the first time I read them. It would have been (for me) a "voyage of a lifetime" and were I so fortunate as to be one of the survivors just imagine all the memories I'd be able to share. And if not a survivor, then that's life, we're never given a "date on which we're to leave this earth" so make the most of what you have. Life is a journey that is to be enjoyed.

I don't know what point you're trying to make. But knowing what I know now, no i would not get on the Titanic. However, in 1912, not knowing the disaster that took place I would get on it because it was supposed to be unsinkable and a luxury liner.

Edit: Haha, I knew you were going to make that reference! The two are completely different. We KNOW that the Titanic sunk. If we were to travel back in time, we'd be absolutely sure of the outcome. How are you sure of your god or hell or any of that? Have you seen the future? I'm guessing not.
And Jesus would make one hell of a raft, since it would be his fault that the 'ship' was sinking anyways.

Well if I knew a disaster was going to happen, of course I would not.
Also, if someone is advertising a ship as 'unsinkable' that is inviting disaster. I probably would not board it anyway.

I would hand my ticket to the nearest mass murderer.
Go find some significant religious meaning in that one ;-)

Well, if I got the "gut feeling" I shouldn't then I probably wouldn't have, but other wise, not knowing the outcome, I would have believing it would be an experience of a lifetime.
