To the girl with the username "REALLY" that said this: "why don't you stop worrying about what other people are against...."
I could say: why don't you stop worrying about who other people marry? Why does it bother you so much what gays want? If you're against gay marriage why even talk about it? Get a life, you drop-out.
Edit: and to the person with the username "Stick" below, how old are you? I bet you are MUCH older than I am, and I STILL have more common sense than you. If you don't like gay marriage then stay the hell away from it, is anybody forcing your kids to watch two men or two women make out? No, so then stop whining about everything. How would you feel if there were actually more homosexuals in the world than there are heterosexuals and they made it illegal for us to marry the opposite sex? EXACTLY! Stop trying to take people's happiness away because I'm sure you wouldn't like it if they took away your's. Put yourself in their shoes for once and go back and finish high school.
My GOODNESS! You are SO ignorant.

super logic if your a freshman in college. howdy, on a similar time as we are at it, enable's substitute the which potential of another words too. case in point, we could substitute the observe "govt" to intend anyone who brings homestead a paycheck. i don't think of that is honest that merely surely executives get that identify. i choose it too, even-however i'm a plumber. enable's make "guy" and "woman" interchangeable so as that any gender can decide for the two. and then we are going to constitutionally amend it. Yeah this changing the which potential of words to in positive condition your gay life type might desire to be exciting! yeah!

in response to sonata response to really.
i really don't care if you're gay or not, i don't agree with gay marriages, but I do think there should be a civil union or some sort, but not on par with marriage.....but the problem most people have with gays is when they flaunt it and they demand more rights then any other individual. its a lifestyle choice that they want everyone in the world to realize that they have excel about their own fear and pronounced their, well how do you put this nicely, gayness. Fine be gay, don't make out with your significant other in front of my kid.
i understand their desire to want to have the same rights as marriage between a man and woman, but i don't think it will ever happen. possible civil union close to it, but not the same. but when it does, it will be when they stop demanding, stop flaunting and approach the situation calmly, and people will give you time of day.
and yes i will marry someone of the opposite sex.

That would be too easy for those against gay marriage. And the trick isn't for them to marry someone, it's to STAY married to that person.

Those against gay marriage believe it will be detrimental to our society. You may disagree with their philosophy but your approach is not logical. If someone believes heavy drug use is detrimental to society will you suggest "then don't use drugs" as a solution? I'm not saying I think they are right. I'm saying your approach is not productive.
What I ask them is, "Just because something is wrong, does that mean it has to be illegal?" "Do you want premarital sex criminalized?" "Do you want non-Christian religions to be criminalized?"
In spite of what many on this forum think of Christians, much less than 1% would say yes to any of these questions.

I know you will get the tax cuts at least then you could just say that you are room mates with the other couple and go have a private ceremony that is meaningfull. The reason for the arguement though is because we are "free" in america... As we all know that is total B.S.

For the same reason that I answered the question dealing with the #1 job that Christians tend to hold is that of BUSYBODY. Christians don't want anyone telling them how they should live their lives but they have the effrontery to do that very thing to others. Even if they have to do so by creating legislation to make it happen. They are BUSYBODIES. And if anyone tries to stop them they have the audacity to yell 'foul' for supposedly restricting their right to religious freedom. If being a Busybody is their religion then they should have it revoked!

I am for gay marriage, and I am married to someone of the opposite gender.
People who are against gay marriage usually are intolerant of things they do not understand.
