Mention that your having eating problems, then when she ask what kind tell her the truth. The truth here is important. The therapist can't help you if your not honest.

the best thing is to just tell her. if your comfortable telling every member of this website, you should be comfortable telling your therapist. That's what you're paying her for, isn't it? Belemia is not the way to lose weight. It's a horrible sickness that can cause serious health problems in the long run. You are damaging many smooth muscles in your digestive system. You need to see more than just a therapist. You need to see a medical doctor.

Your therapist is there to help you with anything. Eating disorders are usually linked to other disorders and are very hard to treat. You are thinking right by feeling you should tell her and be honest so that she can help you.
Why not try this: " I have something to tell you and I am not sure how to say it..." This will allow her to be empathetic and help you put it into words you feel you can.
There is no reason for you to feel emabarrassed about this, I promise, she will not judge you and odds are know a family member or herself have battled an eating disorder as well.
You do need to get help for this and she is a sure bet... Eating disorders can cause serious health problems if left untreated.
Best of luck to you !:)

You have no need to be embarassed I'm sure your therapist has heard far worse. You could always try saying you always feel ill when you eat or explain the situation - and if you don't feel comfortable with this therapist try seeing if you can get another one maybe?

This is not working for you as you are eroding your esophogus doing this and taking the enamel right off your teeth. You are ill and need help so you need to tell the therapist about this so they can help you. You are at risk for very very severe medical problems from this so ask the therapist for help before your ruin your body.

You are only and always as sick as your secrets. You don't go there because you're an example of mental health. I think, as a therapist, it's apparent that you come there because you have a problem. If you really wanted to stay in your problem, you wouldn't be going there. It's only your illness that's telling you to keep it a secret.(Cause it wants to kill you).
You are the major influence in your life. Step up and save yourself!

awww.

throwing up is not healthy. it is dangerous. I suggest you tell your therapist you want to lose weight but you don't know how and suggest throwing up(which i disagree with btw ;) ).

Excercise =)
Eat a big healthy breakfast(most important meal of the day and helps you lose weight actually).
Excercise before you eat and you''ll gain less weight.

Good luck with your therapist.

Just take a deep breath and tell her. She of all people is the person to open up to. She will give you the help and support you need to get through this without being judgemental. Just think ....you won't be the first person to talk with her about this subject! Good luck & have a good day!

really, you just have to tell her. she will be able to get you some help. there ARE other ways that help you loose weight. this is just the easy way out for right now. you can eat whatever you want and by throwing it up it makes you feel better about yourself. but it will get harder as you get older.
it will mess up your esophagus, teeth and gage reflex. it will cause you to loose all nutrients that you need, it will cause dehyDration and much more.
please tell your dr. asap
