My grandaughter says no Purina food was involved, is this true?

Special Kitty is on the recall list you can find at menufoods.com ... if you are feeding your cat pouches or some certain cans by special kitty you should stop feeding it to them immediately.
Purina voluntarily recalled the Mighty Dog Pouches which the MenuFoods company produced, but did not recall. Since they were recalling all their other products, Purina pulled that one off the shelf too. you can see the press release about that at purina.com.
No other products made by purina are affected by this recall. I would not feed anythign to my pet made by Menu Foods... that is a dangerous company!

Special Kitty is on the recall list, and I its made by menu foods company. I feed my cats Friskies which is made by Purina and I haven't found any recalls on it, and still feeding it to them. The year dates on the recalled food is /10 on the bottom of the cans and the food I have is /09 . So I feel safe it being Purina and the year 09. I'm not sure about when I go to buy more what the dates will be on them. It still has me nervous.

Special Kitty is made by Menu Foods and is also one of the recalls. It's only the wet foods in the can or pouch. Purina is not involved.
Menu Foods also makes Iams and Eukanuba for Procter& Gamble and some of that has been recalled.

Special Kitty was involved in the recall.. I don't know tho if it's made by Purina... I think purina itself only recalled the one product.. Mightdog or something like that.

Special kitty is not made by purina.
These are the foods that are made by purina. Purina kit'nkaboodle brand cat food, precise Professional adult cat food,professional reduced fat cat food,pro plan, purina,purina pro plan,sheba, No purina was involved in this problem. I got an email from them and they told me no they are not involved. The only thing that they pulled from their list was mighty dog it was done voluntarly because that is the thing that they send out of the country.

Special Kitty in manufactured by Menu Foods, and was recalled (the wet food only)..
Purina is NOT manufactured by Menu Foods and the recall does not apply to Purina food, only those foods manufactured by Menu Foods were.

"Special Kitty" is NOT made by Purina. "Special Kitty" is on the recall list. Stop giving it to your cat immediately. Check the racall list on www.menufoods.com

I don't believe Purina makes Special Kitty, but I will let you know that Purina "voluntarily" pulled one of their products.... "just to be safe they say. " I pasted a link to the article from which I obtained this info.

Special Kitty is made by Menu Foods. Menu Foods is not a good company. Some cats have been getting ill and dieing from this brand.
