This question can be answered differently by so many people, you will never get a precise answer. Everyone reacts to things differently. No one will know the precise amount of cigarettes that you have to smoke to make your eyes turn red. If you are smoking weed than it would take one BIG joint....j/k. Seriously, though how about you don't smoke at all it is obviously unhealthy and unattractive. Sorry if that sounded preachy...

There's not really much of a carryover in genes because they smoked. I think there's slightly more of a chance of you getting a disease if you start smoking, but not much. Any symptoms you'd get would be right along the regular line of symptoms people get when they smoke. You would get light headed, sure, but vomiting? Only if you smoke about 10 cigs in 10 minutes, or something crazy like that. But, my advice is to not smoke altogether and skip all that.

That would depend on the person doing the smoking. I smoke a pack a day and my eyes are never red. If my brother is any where near smoke his eyes get red.

None. If you eyes turn red from cigarette smoke you probably have an allergy to cigarette smoke.

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/RIr7O
Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).
1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.
2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.
