here's a pic of bride in ivory and groom in ivory and brown, AND it has an orange background how perfect? :) http://www.smarttuxedo.com/itempics/646_xlarge.jpg

Absolutely not....I think they will be perfect colors for a fall wedding! You won't believe the options you will have for flowers that will go great with these colors! I'd consider using the burnt orange and chocolate as the colors for the attendants attire and use the ivory primarily as accents so that this doesn't take away from you!! Very well thought out!! It'll be beautiful! Congratulations!!

Those are great colors! I just recently got married in February and my colors were white and apple. I didn't get to use the colors I really wanted to (champagne, sapphire, silver), and it made be a little unhappy with my results. As long as you plan early, (6 weeks to get the dress in the color you want), you can have you nice fall colors. A few tips, if you brides maids wear chocolate gowns, get some nice dark orange and white flowers. If you go with burnt orange gowns, do a light orange and white flowers. There is some type of plant with brown in it, but you should save that for your flowers. Good luck, and remember to have fun!!!

If that's what you want, then it's not too much. This is a day of celebration, so if those are the colors you want, go for it! I think the color scheme sounds great! I'm all about people being different. Those colors would probably look beautiful on your cake! I'm getting married next June and my colors are Parakeet Blue, Gray and Cream!

Not at all I think those colors would look wonderful together, some things to consider getting bridal party dresses in chocolate brown w/ burnt orange sashes or accents or vice versa.

Those sound like lovely fall colors...I think it would look really great together as long as you choose subtle shades of the orange and brown. The darker tones would look a little more Halloween-ish. A sage green color interspersed within those colors would also make it look that much more elegant.
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!
