We're too poor to get them spayed right now, but I have 3 cats in heat in my house and they are all screaming and dragging themselves across the floor. What can I do????? It's so annoying, no one can even sleep.

this is not something you can avoid until they are spayed unfortunately, and it will occur often (possibly every couple weeks until neutered), sorry its not a better answer!

well really you have two options here...

1.keep your cats indoors and put up with the problem that you created (you should have considered the cost of spaying your cats before you got them)

2.Be a responsible pet owner and find a way to get the money to get them spayed.

here are some suggestions

car boot sale
ask a friend/relation to lend you the money
its worth checking with your vet as sometimes they have a day/week where they spay cats for free
some organisations help with the cost of such operations

first off..no one..and I mean no one should get an animal unless they have the money to take care of the animals needs. If you didnt want to deal with a cat going into heat then you should have thought about that before you got 3 cats without the money to take them to the vet. I take you you havn't gotten their shots and dewormer either?
Until you get them spayed you are going to have to deal with them going into heat sorry...

If you have a spare room keep them in there while you sleep, just make sure you have plenty of food and water and a cat box for them. Other than that you pretty much have to wait it out, and dont let them outside! It usually stops in about a week or two so dont go to crazy! Also look for a traveling neutering bus they have one almost anywhere.

See if they have a spay neutured program in your city-its for people who need help getting their pets "fixed". They can go into heat just about anytime until you find an answer for your program also talk to your vet most will help you out

Unless you are planning to breed them, try to have them spayed, maybe one by one. In the mean time your vet can give them medicine that prevents them from going into heat temporarily

Contact your local Humane Society or SPCA/shelters, and ask if they have any low-cost spay/neuter programs in your area.

Cited from Humane Society's site:

Call your local animal shelter. It may operate a local clinic or know of one that offers subsidized services. It may also offer vouchers to have your pet spayed or neutered at a lower cost by local cooperating private veterinarians. You can find your shelter by searching online at http://www.Pets911.com.

Call SPAY/USA. SPAY/USA is a national spay/neuter referral network that may be able to direct you to subsidized spay/neuter clinics in your area. SPAY/USA can be reached at 1-800-248-SPAY (1-800-248-7729) or you can visit them online at http://www.spayusa.org.

Call your veterinarian. Your veterinarian may be able to work out special financing options for you.

~Hope this helps!

Get the money to get them spayed.. Sounds like a ridiculous setup. If it's so annoying, why wouldn't you find a way to get it done??

eiiwww - are you cleaning the floor every time they drag themselves across it?

if you cant afford to get them spayed you should never have gotten cats in the first place. I hope you treat them for worms and fleas every month... if youre not, you are not looking after them properly and need to give them away.

You can contact your local shelter, humane society, or cat rescue organizations and ask them to refer you to any reduced cost or free spay/neuter programs. I got my Jack neutered for half price through a program from my local humane society. Good luck, hope you find a good program soon!

You have to deal with it or call a cat rescue and ask if they can help with reduced cost spaying.
