Does anyone make up a story at night, and pretend to be a character in it?

So what I do, is I make up a story. And I picture myself, and then I add people I actually know, and I just make up a story. And I think about it for about a half hour till I fall asleep.
Is it normal? Do you do it? If you do, what type of thing do you make up the story about?

I used to do it all the time when I was growing up...it was the only way I could fall asleep!!

I love to make up stories at night, usually making myself the hero of course, put characters in, events, places (mine are usually based in Scotland) and times. I love history, consequently I use facts for many of these stories.

I write, books - magazine articles - and if you won't tell anyone, I prepare my speeches that way. You are a creative person. applaud yourself!

Become all that you were meant to be, Stephani, you can do it! Let your dreams propel you to higher places than you have experienced before. Don't let you dreams, however, take over reality which doesn't sound at all like that to me. After all, you know what your doing, kiddo.

Keep up your stories, write them down and who knows - perhaps you will be the next great author or even Stephani King and then we will be fortunate enough to say 'I remember her'?

I make up bedtime stories so my daughter will go to sleep & i guess it comforts her thinking of a castle, knights on horses, evil queens, and I always make sure the princess has the same name as hers!

ITS CALLED FANTASIZING.. I THINK EVERYONE DOES IT.. when i was a teenager, i used to fantasize about taking my crush to a school dance or a prom.. lol!!!
