I want to get my tongue pierced, but I want to find a place that numbs it first. If you know of a place that offers it please let me know. I am north of chicago just south of Kenosha.

I'm not sure how far Aurora is, but a piercer named Kivaka runs a studio there called Skin of a Different Color (?). He has an extensive portfolio of hundreds of pierced tongues:

From everything I've read, he sounds wonderfully professional and will probably numb it if you request.
I think numbing's excessive because the piercing itself is (as far as I've heard and felt) only a tiny pinch, if anything, plus numbing might make you drool all over the place afterwards.

No one up here numbs it first, I have been piercing in this area for close to 8 years.

You don't need it numb! I have mine and it does not hurt at all. You will feel no pain. Just do it and don't think about it. It's for sure a mental thing. I've had mine for seven years now and I love it and so does my husband if you know what I mean. Get it!

I don't know about a tounge peircing, but they have great tounge at the ibp plant.
