Aussie and Pantine Pro-V Have these products. The one for pantine is called Dangorusly straight and it works really well. You might also want to try a straight Iorn. Good luck

The key to curly hair is conditioner. When hair is curly, the natural oils from your scalp do not travel down the hair shaft as quickly and easily leaving you hair dry and frizzy. Since you shampoo twice a week substitute one of the shampoos with a conditioner. So actually shampoo with shampoo once a week and shampoo with conditioner once a week. That means use a conditioner like you would the shampoo and actually scrub it in and rinse it out. Of course wont get suds but your hair will still be clean without being exposed to the drying effects of the ingredients in the shampoo. As for straightening, Paul Mitchell has as Super Skinny product line. Get the super skinny shampoo and conditioner and use it before you straighten you hair.

Do you condition your hair after you shampoo it? Since your hair is drying out even after two washes a week, or every three days, you should try shampoo+conditioning once a week.

What type of product you use in your hair makes a big difference. How curly is your hair? Next time you go out to buy shampoo, be sure to check all the labels and find a shampoo that will suit your needs.

I have really curly hair as well and I find that Aussie's Moist Shampoo and Conditioner work really well they make my hair very soft and there is little frizz. I also use Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle once a week it's a deep conditioner that you leave in for 3 minutes and it really infuses your hair with moisture. I also use a leave in conditioner for curly hair, Either Aussie's Dual personality detangler + leave in conditioner or Garnier's leave in conditioning cream curl and shine. If you also want your hair to be straight I would recommend a straightener I use the Remington Wet To Straight it works really well but before you straighten you should use a heat protectant like V05's Miracle Mist this well prevent the straightener from overdrying your hair. You can also either use the leave in conditoner or get something like Straighten Out gel to help get your hair straight, I just use the shampoo and conditoners above with the leave in conditioner and the heat protectant then I straighten my hair with the straightener. The above products don't make my hair greasy or heavy either and my hair is soft and smooth curly or straight. Hope that helps!!

You are supposed to shampoo just your scalp and then the rinsing process will let the rest of your tresses get a little cleansing bit of bubbles.

I have long curly/frizzy hair that drives me nuts when I run out of my favorite shampoo and conditioner: Redken All Soft. It rocks my socks! As for conditioner, I apply a lot, compared to the amount of shampoo I use, make sure not to over-do the shampoo.

If you are looking for volume, it is best to shampoo your hair only down to your ears (to avoid breakage on the bottom) and condition from the bottom up to your ears. However, since you have curly, dry hair that becomes frizzy, I would suggest investing in a really good deep conditioner and deep conditioning your hair at least twice a week. I've used Neutrogena's deep conditioner (comes in a small pale orange tub) and it works wonders. That should help to make your hair healthier, shinier, and more responsive to styling techniques.

Do yourself a huge favor and stop using shampoos that contain sodium laureth sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate- and most shampoos do contain these. These things are commonly found in dishwashing products and make all the beautiful foam but dry out your hair and since curly hair is drier than straight hair- it causes major frizz. Buy a baby shampoo and use it twice a week or so- but do use lots of conditioners. Believe me, your hair will thank you for it.

From what I am reading, you aren't using a conditioner. A conditioner, a good one, does exactly as the name says... it conditions your hair. A good leave in conditioner is best.... either one you rinse out in 3-5 minutes or a leave in (very small amount) that you put on your damp hair after shampooing it. Definitely get in touch with a trustworthy hairdresser and find out what conditioner is best for your hair. Hair that is "traumatized" (hair dryers, coloring, straight irons, etc) ALWAYS needs a good conditioner. There are also products that restructure and moisturize your hair for healthy effects.
There is no shampoo that will "MAKE" your hair "straight and shiny", it all depends on the health of your hair and the texture of it.
My best advice is definitely see a TRUSTWORTHY hair dresser. GOOD LUCK! :)

1) Comb out or brush out your hair beforehand to remove any tangles.

2) Rinse your hair well. Pour a nickel size amount of shampoo into your hand & rub your palms together to distribute it. Apply the shampoo to your scalp and gently massage. Allow the suds to run through the ends of your hair. Don't rub your hair together or mash it around.

3) Rinse until water runs clear. Squeeze out water gently & apply conditioner. Leave it in for a few minutes and use a wide tooth comb to de-tangle your hair. Rinse carefully and thoroughly.

4) Gently squeeze your hair and use a towel to press out excess water. A super absorbent hair towel will help. (Aquis, The Body Shop)

5) Comb again if needed and use your fingers to form curls. Allow to air dry or use a diffuser w/ your blow dryer.

Joico makes excellent shampoos.

The best stuff to use for dry hair is Phyto (it is French but you can get it here in the US). I have also had good results with Aubrey Organics shampoos and Pureology hair products.
