I used silk flower bouquets for my self and my maids.I got my bridal bouquet from budget minded brides. I got select the size and flowers that she used. She even sent a picture for approval before she shipped. The toss bouquets for my maids came from the brides bouquet. The were small enough to carry, they looked great and now my maids has them as keep sakes.
Hope this helps.

I would not want "fake" bouquets - here is what I might do to help save money.
Bride's maids and Maid of Honor should carry one long stem flower of your choice. Groom and groom's men should have one stem in their boutonniere.
Bride should carry a simplistic bouquet of real flowers and use what a florist calls a toss bouquet to toss to all the single girls.
I bet you could do all this for less than $100 and you will feel better with real flowers.
Remember to keep your bridal party small and that will help save money too. Six people is plenty. Bride & Groom, and two on each side of you. The bigger the bridal party the more you have to spend. Also, If your bride's maids want to wear different dresses, but in the same color, that is a great look and can save everyone money.
Have a beautiful day

Not as long as everyone is--it would look weird though if yours was fake and they had real ones. However bouquets are easily preserved now so it doesn't matter if you use a real one or a fake one. I had mine pressed between glass so it's a neat ornament instead of taking up space. It wasn't that expensive and it's what my aunt got me as a wedding gift.
Have you considered just having each carry one flower? Thats whats in style right now anyway and if you order a longstem rose for each of them and for each of the mothers, you can save a lot of money that way. Traditionally the grooms family pays for the brides bouquet though, but you and your fiance may be paying for your whole wedding. Then its just one bouquet. Of course many brides aren't carrying bouquets. I've heard of them carrying family heirlooms, a bible with the rosary instead--though I was traditional and always envisioned a bouquet.
Though $80 is quite reasonable--and most fake bouquets are just as expensive as real ones. You could use cheaper bigger flowers though so you don't need as many flowers. And use seasonal flowers. I bought all my flowers for the reception at Sam's Club the day of the wedding. I bought multi-colored glads and divided them b/t all the tables. My mom bought beads at Michaels and made pearl flowers and crystal sticks to put in my bouquet to make it appear more full as well. You could carry an arrangement of gerber daisies or wildflowers.

You have a few options with this...
Have a beautiful fresh bouquet made that you keep (either preserved or air dry) and make a silk one to toss. This is most popular with my brides.
Have them all done in silk. Silk flowers have come a long way and the right florist can make them just as beautiful. In addition, you will have more colors to chose from.
Have a less expensive real one that you toss and let your bridesmaids carry a long stemmed single flower. For example: a calla or a rose would be beautiful.
Hope this helps!

Many women dont have completely real flower bouquets for the same reason. I have seen some so real that you couldnt tell the difference.
I have also seen bridesmaids who carry single flowers instead of the bouquet. When they got to the alter the bridesmaids gave their flowers to the bride, which made a complete bouquet- very sentimental in my opinion!

It's wont look funny at all. You can get fake flower that look real from any craft store. I'm getting married in Sept. and I'm doing the same thing. I've been going to Hobby Lobby and Micheal's when they have there flowers on sale and buying up some. Good Luck!

I did this and everyone thought they were beautiful. The florist who did my flowers said she would give me a break on the cost if she could have the flowers back to reuse. We each got to keep a flower out of the bouquet and it only cost me 200.00 for my bouquet, 3 bridesmaid, the groom and two groomsmens flowers. See if you can work a deal. It never hurts to ask they can only say no.

As a photographer I have seen many brides choose this option. Another bonus: you can use it for both your formal bridal portrait and the wedding day. It is economical and practical. Contact a local hobby store that has a floral department. They often offer classes on how to make your own (fund thing for your and your bridesmaids to do together, they could even personalize theirs) or have them make it. Don't forget a smaller version of your own to toss during the reception!
Have fun!

Silk flowers today are so much better made. And they can be just as gorgeous. Are you making the bouquets?
If you want the scent of flowers, take a fragrance oil & add to the base of your bouquet. Mmmmm.
This is my most favorite.
