My boyfriend and I have miscommunication problems. What are the possible suggestions that we can make it work?

Miscommunication occurs frequently in new relationships, and is then ironed out, to some degree, as the relationship progresses.

MEN have no ability whatsoever to understand subtle communication. If you want him to understand what you mean, then say EXACTLY what you mean. Yes, your girlfriends can pick up on your nuances and unspoken words, but HE is totally lost.

Do yourself a favor and be VERY clear with your words.

Or, you can do what many immature women do. You can TEST him, lay TRAPS for him, twist his words, and then POUNCE on his @ss like a rabid mountain lion, when you get the slightest chance. I mean rip him up GOOD.

Of course, he won't hang around long, but you will have gotten the best of him, and PROVED that he is an @sshole.

NOTHING feels better than that, right? Well, there's always genuine love, respect, and open and forthright communication. Those are pretty nice things, too.

In the first place you want it to work and that's the most important thing. For me i think you should try as much as possible to know or find out what ways you can reach other best with.i;e understand his own communication 'language'. You know there are various ways to communicate other than the normal verbal stuff or the conventional stuff....then you could also be sensitive enough to understand his moods.

I'd definitely recommend going to see a relationship counselor. You don't both have to go, they'll be able to give you some advice. What I would suggest, and what's worked for me, is when the guy says something that makes you angry, say to him, "It sounds like you're saying ____". That way, if he didn't mean it the way you interpreted it, he can rephrase in a way you can understand.
