No way. Pizza is already healthy in moderation.

They're gonna wind up making it an "engineered" health food. We'll get better flavor by eating the box.

why bother people are just going to take all the benefits away by putting crap on it.

I make healthy pizza now.

just by some whole wheat pitas (make sure they are really whole grain not just enriched white bread colored with molases to look like whole wheat).

get some plain tomato sauce and season it to your liking.

use low fat part-skim mozzerella cheese. try sargentos, they have the lowest amount of fat/serving I have found yet. slightly lower than the other major brands like kraft or polly-o (which is notorious for putting bad things in).

Go easy on the cheese, for extra flavoring add in a bit of a stronger cheese like parmasian to get more flavoring. Alone this might have more fat and calories, but using a bit of another more flavorfull type of cheese is better than using extra mozzarella to gain extra flavor as you tend to use more of that.

Season it with healthy toppings like brocoli or tomatoes and mushrooms. Actually if you don't like brocoli on your pizza, you can chop off the florets and grind them up into the sauce, you won't even know they are there.

Or use lean chicken or 99% fat free lean ground turkey.

Adding whey protien powder (or actual ricotta cheese) and flaxseed powder to the sauce is another way to make a very healthy snack or food out of an unhealthy one.

I think the key is not that they can make pizza healthier, its that they can make whole wheat bread healthier in foods due to cooking at higher temperatures. Not many people like burnt pizza- i do.

Actually they are working to make it less unhealthy, which is still far from healthy. But pizza is a fact of living now, and every little helps. I will cycle energy with the noosphere for this cause.

I only wish that scientists could come up with a gluten free pizza crust that doesn't taste of dirt.

Lordie, lordie we pray to thee to look over the chemist dudes who are studying their butts off to make a healthier pizza for all of your fat, lazy, complacent, ignorant, self-obsesses, egocentric, intolerant, and bigoted servants. We ask this of you through the grace and Divine intervention of saints Moe, Larry, Curly and chef Boyardee, Amen!

Sure.
That sounds a lot easier than studying chemistry and biology, doing the research and hard work, and actually helping the world.
