Christ was accused of blasphemy because he dared to call himself God. Whenever we take the name of deity in vain or mock Diety, we blaspheme. Ultimately, the Jewish leaders forced Christ's crucifixion because He mocked God by calling Himself the Son of God. Of course, what they failed to recognize was that He was telling the truth. He was indeed the Son of God.

don't listen to Mark...he lives in transylvania and is naturally ignorant. I lived there, too, and I saw what godlessness can do to a society. Blaspheme is to spit on and mock what is holy or decreed from holiness. Only 1 blasphemy can seperate you from God. Saying...by commission or omission...get away from me and take your holy spirit out of me.
