I'm just wondering why girls go after guys that are in a serious relationship...do they think they are so hot they can steal them away? why cant they go for a single guy? this bothers me a great deal and i never understood why girls do this...if a guy is taken back off! what do you think?

Power thing. Prove they they can move mountains, or steal reserved attention and affection. Not to mention, strong urge to want what they don't or can't have.

Good question!!! This has happened to me several times, and the best answer I could give is that it is a self esteem issue with that particular girl. If she can go after a another gals guy(and especially if the she views that gal to be hot or a threat) and she gets the attention of your guy, then she is "better" than you, giving her low self esteem quite a boost. Many women also chase married men, because they are looking for a no strings attached type fling, and feel the married man will provide that. Or plain and simple they are HOME WRECKERS.

I think it's because women see men in a relationship as being relationship compatible. They see how they take care of their women and want that for themselves. For some, there's also the pride issue of stealing a guy from another woman. It's competition.

It's a competition thing...has very little to do with the man itself. Women who go after men who are involved feel this power trip over the girlfriend/wife of the man.
It's sick...and I never have done it. I would much rather be with a single man, than one that is being occupied elsewhere

I think it's just a matter of some people being insecure and that 'stealing' someone elses' BF or husband makes them feel more powerful...for a short time...and, then, it's time to ruin another relationship.
Also, people who fear committment often focus on married men or women knowing that they don't have to become fully engaged with that persons' life.

Girls that type like men that are in commited relationships because they want what they can't have and they also are selfish because they don't care if they break up a family all they care about is getting a piece of *** from someone that is taken.

Girls do this because they think they are better than everyone else, believe me i CANNOT stand people like this. i hate chicks, ok , well this is a little different but not much so here goes... everytime im out with my bf , girls look and stare , and i get so pissed everywhere we go , we just went to the grocery store to go buy baby formula,( but not for a real baby it was for my one pet who is very sick) but come on what would you think if you saw a couple come in to buy formula.. she was staring at him the whole time until she looked at me and saw how pissed i was getting so she kept her head down mostly, then before we left she looked at me again. its total bullcrap i hate people like that!

Broads like that need to get drop-kicked to the dome. Their mothers didn't raise them the right way or they saw their mom do it. they are the same women who don't mind seeing married men. also they stick around as a mistress for several years believing that one day the man will leave his wife & family for her. And before she knows it her youth is all gone & she's alone to realize all of her waisted years were for this asshole of a man. when she doesn't look at herself, deep down iside her bitterness will eat her alive then she'll die alone like the wicked witch of the west!lol- women do this cause their STUPID!

I don't know. It disappoints me. Many girls are giving us other girls bad names.
of course I guess there normally is a reason why single guys are single and why taken men are taken.
But I would never do that. Immoral.

They are attempting to bolster their self-esteem. It feels good to them to "steal" from another woman. In their mind, it makes them the "better" woman. It's simply a competition.
Once she "scores",she will turn VERY cold to her "trophy" and be gone in a matter of weeks.
These women can be placed in the "Focked Up In The Head" column. They are to be diligently avoided. DO NOT reward their infantile and unethical behavior.
