I've been chatting back and forth with a girl from california for the last month or so. We've really hit it off and she'd like to meet me the next time she's in the area. I really like her and she really likes me, but there's one serious problem with this whole situation. I'm 16 and she's 21-22(that's just an estimate, not exactly sure how old she is). She doesn't know how old I am and I don't exactly know how old she is, but I can figure a guess cuz she talks about going clubbing with her friends. What exactly should I do about this whole situation?
p.s. If you're going to be judgemental and complain about it being "disgraseful" or "immoral" do me a favor and don't answer my question. Like I said neither one of us knows exactly how old the other is.

And just so everyone knows, I know she is a girl and I know she's around 21 because she has pictures and they are always getting updated. Also this "relationship" hasn't gotten too sexual, its been strictly friendly so far, but I'm afraid that if she really does want to meet she wants to take it to the next level.

One more thing, I know that there are plenty of girls in my age range, I was just sayin we started messaging back and forth and now we've really gotten friendly. I have no problem getting a girl in my range, but this girl is really awesome and I don't want to lose her if I tell her I'm 16.

that would be the first place to start. tell her how old you are and ask her her age. when you are honest about it with her, then you will know where the relationship goes. you have to expect people on here to be judgemental. your asking complete strangers for advice about your personal life. but all you can do about the girl is be honest with her and see what happens. there is a 7 year age difference between me and my gf, im 30, shes 37, and theres nothing wrong with it as far as i can see, but at 16 and 22ish, you are not yet mature enough to be on her level. think about if you were in a relationship with her and living as far apart as you do. do you think you would trust her completely to be faithful to you while she is goin out clubbing while your studying for your midterms in highschool?

I believe your answer is black and white (looking at your predicament objectively that is). If she knew how young you were, she would change her viewpoint on the situation. Tell her, then go from there.
In my opinion you are still very young and should look to girls in your age range. At that age, a large age gap can have a dramatic impact on the relationship. Once you get into your 20s that impact lessens greatly.
Bottom line: Be honest with yourself... She is too old and there are PLENTY of young girls your age to pick from :).

You have to tell her!!! I recently drove 6 hours to meet someone that had gained 50 + pounds since there picture was taken. I was so mad that they had lied. You should think of her feeling and how she would feel after finding it out when she has made arrangements to meet someone that is 16 and cant even go to a club with her.

Now to answer to your question: DO NOT HAVE SEX!!!! Like, for real. Dont have sex cuz your gonna get that lady introuble if she is that old. However you may be okay because some young girls like to sneak into clubs anyways. But if she is overage, dont do nothing sexual with her. Heck, even if she is underage, dont do anything sexual either. IF you wanna go out thats fine, but no hanky panky.

Well she is a little bit older then you but if you really like her then it is okay! But if you feel uncomfortable maybe you should tell her how you feel about the whole situation... you should just come clean about your age. if she is does not mind the age gap then you can continue this relationship. but i think honesty is the key here cuz you also do not know how old is she. but for now don't put your hopes on too high. just treat as your friend.
