gay is an abnormal symptom of human mind and body! Gay symptom may greatly influence the normal people and makes them gay in mind! Allowing gay marriage means to encouraging the abnormalities to spread out of control and may damage the order of society!

I'm for it. There's no logical reason why not. This is not a theocracy (USA), there's no ONE logical definition of marriage, the Bible is an archaic book of laws that worked fine for the culture of their time, but this is a new day, new world and not everyone even believes in the Bible. Gay marriage doesn't do any more harm than straight marriage (which is also a joke when you look at the high rates of divorce, murders, etc.) except to the egos of the bigots.

I get more of a kick out of these kids from families who claim they're so holy, and send their kids down to Spring Break where they writhe around on the dance floor groping each other, drooling at the wet T-shirt contests screaming for what they want to see, while the gals with their crucifixes dance on stage showing it all off pretending to be coy and drunk out of their minds. Then they come back and play "pious". The hypocrisy will BLOW YOUR MIND.

Oh I almost forgot the pretty little things wearing their crucifixes with their scanty bikinis, kissing other women for cameras and beads and drooling idiot males, then giving the LGBT community the finger when they return acting all pious... so where's the fairness in it all two girls can suck face for you "pious" men, but two guys can't? PUH-LEEZE, the bigotry, hypocrisy... it's overwhelming.

I am for gay marriage.
Religion should not play a part in our laws. In America, we have the seperation of church and state. To allow gay people not to get married, because a religion says that it goes against "God" then that goes directly against it.
This is America!!!! America should have the been the first country ever to allow gay marriage.

The state should marry any two consenting adults. If a religious figure refuses to marry two people, well, then they should have the option to go to the state, like heterosexual couples already do.

For. Not even because I want to get married (yeah, I'm gay). Simply because it's an issue of equal rights under our democracy. Incidentally, the only thing it has to do with religion is that religion is the only excuse people have for being against it! There is certainly no RATIONAL reason why we should be restricting certain people's rights to pursue happiness. "Tradition" in this connection is just a cipher for "religion." Anyway, if fidelity to tradition was always our overriding concern, we'd all still be living in caves.

Anybody who says "Because God is against it!" is simply beneath my contempt. You can spare me your cherry-picked texts from Leviticus. (Even if you sacrifice oxen to Jehovah and shun menstruating women and all the rest, in addition to being anti-gay, all that proves is that you're not a hypocrite. You're still a dogmatic bigot.) And it surely goes without saying that people who believe gay marriage would "destroy society" are just garden variety nutcases.

I'm for it. Gays are no different than anyone else. Love is love. So long as they are happy and ready for the commitment I say power to em. Its a beautiful thing to be in love.

I believe that marriage between 2, yes two, consenting adults is no one's business but the 2 people involved. It is discrimination to deny marriage to any 2, yes 2, PEOPLE.

For. I think two willing adults who want to share a life should be entitled to the legal protections that straight couples have. And, not one straight marriage has ever been threatened in any way, shape, or form, by gay marriage. It takes nothing from us, and gives happiness to others. What could be wrong with it?

Churches can reject whomever they wish, but the goverment needs to treat people equally.

I am for gay marriage as they are human beings who deserve the same rights everyone else has. I know many gay couples who aren't allowed to marry but own property together, have children, contribute to their communities, work full time jobs.....they have no property rights as a couple, they usually have no rights to partner benefits, there are no laws protecting custody for their children, no matter how much they contribute they are still frowned upon....we really need to grow up. This is not a political issue or a moral issue, this is a human issue. Period.

Boy, I'm going to catch it for this...

Until it can be definitively proven that homosexuality is not a product of environment/experience prohibition is the smart thing to do. Legally married gays are going to want to adopt, and, being that it can't yet be proven that homosexuality is not the result of environment, the possibility remains that these adopted children could be influenced toward homosexuality. Basically, over long periods, birth rates drop, the population ages, the work force shrinks, and the economy collapses.

Edit: I really would rather enter this as an entirely separate answer, but, my personal feelings on gay marriage can be summed up thusly:

Gay marriage is like a bread sandwich.

I am against gay marriage. I am a married hetro. Maybe a recognized partner contract is fine, but to call it marriage just disagrees with the concept of it.
Don't get me wrong, though I am a christian, this does not fall on me to judge you. This is just not what I would choose. The judgement comes from higher up, we are to love ALL people, and help anyone who needs it.
