Did you mean wear? I wear spandex, then shorts or sweatpant over them...the spandex will help you keep from chaffing...and the pant will spare the world of seeing anyone in spandex (because most people that look good in spandex, don't need to wear spandex). Also, make sure you wear a sports bra, and some type of t-shirt.
Plus you need to make sure that you have a good pair of running shoes...go to a sports store and ask to talk to someone in the department...they can help you by measureing the arch on your foot. It makes a big difference to have shoes that conform to your feet.
