I don't think the two are compatible, nothing against Jehovah's Witnesses.

Beginning with the 1960’s, when homosexuals became more open about their practices, many churches debated the matter, then accepted them as members. Some churches now even ordain homosexuals as clergymen. In order to help sincere persons who had questions on these matters, the publications of Jehovah’s Witnesses also discussed these issues. But among the Witnesses, there was never any question as to how homosexuality would be viewed. Why not? Because they do not treat the Bible’s requirements as if these were merely the opinions of men of another era. (1 Thess. 2:13) They gladly conduct Bible studies with homosexuals so these can learn Jehovah’s requirements, and such persons may attend meetings of the Witnesses to listen, but no one who continues to practice homosexuality can be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.—1 Cor. 6:9-11; Jude 7.....so no homosexuality would not be tolerated in the christian congregation....but as explained before all things are possible with GOD and if you truely want to be pleasing to Jehovah he will help you overcome such weaknesses..........I hope this helps.

Firstly, we turn NO ONE away from coming to the meetings or studying. As for becoming a Baptised Witness while having homosexual inclinations, this is possible. If you have been studying the Bible then you know that Homosexual activities are wrong. We all have sinful inclinations, and none of us live without making mistakes or slipping. I've known people with a variety of problems and hazardous leanings. Just as someone might want to engage in Pagan celebrations or may have a desire to cheat on a mate, the issue is not feeling the pull (though it is good to try to limit things which strengthen this pull) but resisting the pull.

I suspect you're not serious, but I'm going to put in my 2 cents, anyway.

It is a belief that that sexual orientation is established as birth, and I will go with that first.

There are multiple sexual orientations, not just hetero and homo. There are also the attraction to both sexes, animals, the dead, to children, and to no one at all.

Orientations, other than hetero, homo, bi, and asexual are generally consider unacceptable to society and the law. These individuals are expected to control their behavior, so it is considered possible to control the urges of ones orientation.

No religion can change who you are, but can give you a path in life to follow to help you control any urges you do not wish to have control over your life. With the witnesses, there is the hope that should you survive Armageddon, this genetic anomaly will than be corrected, just like all the other ones, not just related to sexual orientation, but all the genetic based birth defects, both seen and unseen. My brother was born with a backwards heart. A genetic anomaly that I don't think he was meant to have, any more than any other.

Hi. Why seek advice from these people that haven't experienced the blessings from Jehovah God? I am a Jehovah's Witness and like you have struggled with many weaknesses. But let me assure you, God will help you and bless you in your efforts.

The bible plainly teaches that former homosexuals embraced Christianity; there seems every reason to believe it is still quite possible.

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) Neither fornicators, ...nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, ...nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean, but you have been sanctified, but you have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.

There are gay individuals who study to become Jehovah Witnesses, but their religion requires that a gay lifestyle not be practiced, and that one attempts to change their ways.

Someone who is gay can join any Christian religion. We all have sinful temptations not in agreement with the Bible...but we do not practice those sins if we want to please God.

However, why would you want to add to your sins? JWs deny Jesus was God...the Word in the flesh. That is worse than being gay, but resisting the desire to live a gay lifestyle.

I know you aren't being serious. JW are probably the most strict and cultic cult out there. IF you are to join you are not even allowed to think about gay sex or desires. Have you even done any research on JWs? It is a joke, the history, the failed prophesies, the pedophile policy, they shunning... Read up on it. The cult is full of lies, control, and judgment.

Most JW's are pretty nice, but the elders

Why in hell would you want to?

In answer to your question, no. Or rather, yes; but then you have to blaspheme your own nature by pretending its an "aberration" that the power of God can "heal." Hate the sin, love the sinner! I prefer "Hate the religion, pity the religious."
