Girls,At what age do you start coloring your hair?

Highlights at 9????? Wow, girls are trying to improve their looks that young? That tells me something is wrong with the way we are raising our kids. I was 14 the first time and when I was 15 I went into cosmetology training so it was a constant thing. Now I am 24 and don't color my hair at all anymore.

I think 13 is a good age to start. If this is your first time going, definitely save your money and go see a professional. A good shampoo, cut, and color will run you anywhere from $100-$250. But it's worth it because it will be done correctly and beautifully. Plus, your stylist can give you many invaluable tips on hair coloring and hair care for YOUR hair.

If you're doing it yourself, try a semi-permanent color (like Clairol Natural Instincts) to make sure you like the color. If you don't, then it will wash out soon enough!

I highlighted my hair at age 9 but coloring hair at age like 14 how about that. i'm 12 but my friend said it's not good to color (COLOR) your head at a young age but highlighting is ok.

you could not colour your hair, but i would say most girls/ladies start as early as 13 and sometimes as late as 45-50 to hide gray hair.

I started when I was 13 years old. My mom wasn't very happy, but she was greatful it was dark brown, rather than green!
