Don't feel guilty, skip the workout. Sometimes your body just needs to recover. If you are working out, you will be using energy that is better spent fighting the illness.

If the cold is in your head (stuffy nose, sinus congestion) then working out should be fine if you take it easy (but make sure that you drink twice as much water while you workout with a cold). If you have a cough, sore throat, or a stomach ache (below the head) you should lay off for a day or two. If you really feel guilty about it, go take a walk. It doesn't seem like much but it can really keep your motivation up. Just keep in mind that if you don't take it easy it will take longer to recover and you will have to miss even more workouts.

no you shouldn't because you will contaminate all the equipment and make everybody else sick, plus it's probably why you are sick anyway, you don't give your body a break! This may be a wake up call. 5 days a week to workout is way to much, you should limit yourself to 4 days and go every other day so you have a break between 2 workouts. Take care of yourself.

no you should let your body recover from the cold first because if you overwork your body while having the cold this could lower your defense against more disease. I never work out when I have a cold because I rather get the rest. Work hard when you come back from the cold, and make sure to drink a lot of water. Water will help your body a lot.

If it's above the neck, like a head cold, you can still work out. If it's in your chest, you should skip the workout.

Think about spreading germs all over the gym! Regardless of how you feel, do everyone a favor and stay home.

Skip it. If you're working out regularly, when you come back you'll feel even better.
