I have been taking a high dosage of metformin 2000 mg per day for 4 months, before that I was on 1500 mg per day and all of a sudden I am getting gray hairs out the ying yang, and I am only 24 years old, I have pcos and am trying to concieve thats why im on metformin. I read on internet that graying hair is sign of b 12 defeciency. I would appreciate any feedback! Thanks

B12 deficiency is most commonly associated with pernicious anemia -- but if you're seeing your physician regularly, then they can probably do some blood tests and tell you about that.

It is true that metformin is associated with B12 deficiency, so get it checked out soon, and have them administer some B12 supplementation if your levels are low

well i was told that i have a iron deficiency not sure about b12 i thought it was almost the same cause i get b12 shots but i take a vitamins
