First the ozone layer is so high nothing affects it,it is formed at the edge of space where the solar winds collide with the earth's magnetic field.
Global warming is a joke ,the CO2 is not a problem it is the food source for the plants and the by product is oxygen for us.
Methane as a problem where is it?? Methane is very light and will rise very high in our atmosphere but it is not there.

A real simple answer:
Global warming / greenhouse effect: Fossil fuels (oil, coal), of which we use a LOT more now than ever, are combusted or burned for their energy. The combustion releases carbon dioxide (CO2), among other things. The accumulation of CO2 creates a sort of blanket that holds in the solar radiation (in the form of heat). The relatively recent (in earth's history) increase in CO2 in the atmosphere has made the blanket hold in, or reflect back to earth, more heat that would normally be dissipated.

Ozone layer depletion: Certain man-made chemicals (chlorofluorocarbons?) created to make our lives easier and more convenient are released into the atmosphere. A chemical reaction takes place in the ozone layer that destroys/diminishes the ozone layer. A healthy ozone layer is important, in that it protects us from harmful solar radiation (ultraviolet radiation).

The sun radiates a wide spectrum of radiation -- some harmful (UV rays), some not so harmful (visible light, heat). A healthy atmosphere regulates the amount of harmful and non-harmful radiation. Man-made processes have caused the atmosphere to be unhealthy, which is why 'global warming' is in the news a lot. Whether or not global warming is a real thing, it's still a very good thing to try as hard as we can to keep our atmosphere healthy.

Global warming is caused mainly by cars - the heat of the engines makes it feel warmer.
The green house effect happens when the clouds block out the rays of the moon and prevent light getting to the carrots and that.
The layers of the ozone are gradually being depleted by whales spurting giant tall amounts of sea water into the atmostsphere.

There is this movie called "Inconvenient Truth", it's a documentary on Al Gore's international slide presentation for global warming. it gives you all the answers you need about this whole issue. It is a bit too long to be talked about here. But I encourage you to watch that movie.

Have you ever tried searching the web? can't be more than 1,000,000 hits on the subject.

Only watch Al Gore's movie if you want to see just one side of the issue.
