If you HAVE to buy the bird online, go to Birdmart.com There are really decent prices there. Where are you at? If I know where you're at, I could probably recommend some decent breeders in your area, or at least your state.

It is not a good idea to buy a bird online. You never know what you will end up with. The bird could be sick, inbred, and not even the right specis! Instead shop around locally for birds. You can use the web to find local pet stores or people that know more about it. I wouldnt advise buying a bird from a pet store for the same reason. try to find someone that raises birds.

Some people seem to have this strange belief that you can't find a healthy bird online. Trust me -- you CAN. I have three birds and two of them came from breeders I found ONLINE. And they're perfect little spoiled brats.You don't order a bird like you order a pair of shoes online -- you make contact through a breeder's website, where you can see if they have any available birds for sale. Then you contact them either by phone or by e-mail.

DO NOT buy online.. you need to find a breeder and actually see what you are buying. i have a grey that i've had for 10 yrs now. i bought from a breeder and very happy. this bird will be with you for a VERY long time.

Check out petfinder, you'll be able to adopt one a lot cheaper, but you can also check livedeal.com. I got my pup there, it's a pretty sweet site.
