Don't choose. I see nothing wrong with going out with both of them, just keep in mind they are best friends. Make sure that this won't put a wedge between them.

Make a pro and con list for each.
See who has more negative things (cons) and who has more positive things (pros) about him. Even if they're really trivial like... Jason has red hair, but I really like John's brown hair... and that's the deciding factor, you'll be less likely to regret dating one over the other if you have definite reasons of why you are dating one or the other.

pick the one you like more. when you go home who to you think about more. who do you miss talking to. who makes your stomach tie up in a not. but be careful when you choose because you don't want to break up a friendship with the two. good luck.

i don't think that this is a smart way for you to find an answer. i think you need to sit down and think about who is the best for you. if this really is troubling you, you should sit them both down and talk to them about it.
