They'll eat oysters raw, fried or stewed but never clams. There's just as many clams to be harvested in southern waters as any place else.

I k now southerners that eat both. Like me I'm a southerner. Although... some places don't have clams around here I don't think.

I'm the opposite..I rather have the fried clams...raw oysters are gross..its probably just how your raised

Now you'uns all knows it cuz us southerners aint got no teeth. You can just slurp them ole oysters down whole if they's raw, roasted or steamed. Clams is just too dang chewy if you is got no teeths, makes yore gums to sore if yous tries to eat'em.

I am from the south and my family likes clams....but will not eat oysters.
