Hopefully, you have started or attempted your puppies house training before now, when she's 6 months old... But either way, consistency is key. Dogs can't have an accident if you don't give them the opportunity to do so. After every meal or drink, take her out right away, and praise her when she does her business inside. Take her out additional times in between feedings, and whenever she wakes up in the morning or from a nap. If you are consistent with your training, praise, and trips outside, she will be consistent with her learning. Good luck!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMS9x

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

My best friend has the same kind of dog as you. I have a beagle, but took my house breaking lessons from my friend, and my dog was house broken in about 1 1/2 months. Get a kennel to fit your dog. You will need to take your dog out frequently, but here is how we did it. Get up in the morning and take your dog out of the kennel and directly outside where you will give her the command "Go Potty" or whatever you choose to use. Wait about 10 or 15 minutes at first until she starts catching on. If she goes while she is out, take her inside and have about 30 minutes of play time. During this time you might also choose to have that be meal time, where she can get her water and food. After meal time, back outside and do it again. If she gos, inside for some play time, then back to the kennel. The basic pattern is playtime after potty. This way they associate fun time with AFTER they go outside and do their business. Accidents will happen during playtime - puppies are like that. Keep a close eye on her, and if she has an accident, pick her up and take her right outside. She probably won't have to go anymore, then back inside to the kennel. You will get to know your dog and her mannerisms when she has to go. Eventually play time will last longer and longer. My friends mini dachshund LOVES her kennel. She leaves the door open on the kennel and the dog just uses it as her bed and hide out. The dog is also well house broken. My Beagle sleeps in her kennel with the door open sometimes, and she is also well house broken. I like this meathod better than the training pads because it associates potty time with OUTSIDE from the very start. In addition, keeping small treats in your pocket to give your pup when she gos potty outside also is a great incentive:) Good Luck!

I have found that crate training is the best method.

I have 2 labs that I have trained this way. You can get online dirctions on how to crate train.

Crate training is good because a dog will never do to the bathroom where he or she sleeps if the space is a little bigger than the dog.

The will hold there business untill you let them out. Typically you let them build up twice a day denping on your work day. and It gets them very scheduled.

You can aalso do piddle pads that they sell at the store but in my experiance of having four dogs they dont work as well as crate training.

The satisfactory means is to get a crate. It will potty educate the simplest means and support your puppy believe at ease. Divide it up small ample so he can most effective flip round and take him out most commonly. When he is going he earns loose time within the condo. He will have to be crated at night time and while you're now not residence within the day.

Be consistent! If you always take him/her outside at the times and praise them for doing the 'deed' it will be easy to train them. But it's not always easy to train them. It can take weeks of working with them and if you are consistent it will pay off sooner than you think.
Good Luck!

you can use training pads or if you have another dog around the same use have her/.him help housebreak the dog/puppy. We did this with our Jack Russell terriers. Now they all know to go outside even my 7 month old JRT does it too!
