Have any of you actually tried this? Did it work at least as well? Can you use it on colored clothes too? I have an 11 month old so his clothes get stained badly because he plays so rough, but he also has allergies and if this works I would rather try it than to find a color-safe bleach he doesn't react to.

Unless you're wanting to rot out your clothes you would invest in a tub of Oxy clean to get out stains. Peroxide is used for oral health

I know that hydrogen peroxide is a bleaching agent (it's what turns hair blond) I don't know how effective it would be at removing stains from whites, but I know that it would bleach your colors, turning them white.

I'm not sure-it might be too hard on fabric. Try amonia-it whitens but doesn't leave a smell like bleach does.
