Steaks, steamed lobster tails, baked potatoes, salad, Sarah Lee French Silk pie and a good bottle of Cabernet Savignon.

Steaks: Season with salt, pepper and garlic. Broil 5 to 10 minutes per side(or on the grill in good weather), 5 minutes for rare, 10 for well done.

Lobster tails: Split top of the shells with a large knife. Put in a metal colander and into large pot with an inch or so of water. Cover on heat. Steam until the shells turn bright red and the meat starts to puff out of the shell, about 10 minutes. Drizzle with melted butter before serving.

Baked Potatoes: wash and bake for 1 to 11/2 hours at 350 F, or 8 to 10 minutes in microwave(pierce with a fork first).

French Silk Pie: In the grocery store freezer section, thaw and serve.

Salad: Choose the veggies and greens you like. Buy fresh, not the bagged salad mix stuff.

Wine: I like Cabernet's. Red wine good with most meats and sea food. Not a big champagne drinker.

Add some candles and flowers to the table and you're all set.

Did this for my wife last Valentine's Day. She was VERY impressed and appreciative.

For our upcoming anniversary, we're having steamed lobster tails with lemon garlic butter, and veal with a lemon-caper sauce. Side dishes are up in the air right now, but there will be a green salad with balsamic and feta. And we're dragging out my grandma's china to serve it on. The plans aren't finalized yet, but there will be sparkling wine...Mumms! The bottles are already chilling.

aw cmon, why do women always think that other women can answer a question about a man better than A MAN!!! What I would like is either something that I can participate in, like something flambe or requires assembly at table, like fondue and for desert, chocolate syrup and strawberries and whip cream and well you can figure out the rest

i agree with the guy below me, pasta is always a pleaser,
with chicken and alfredo sauce maybe some garlic bread on the side and some kind of dessert for later.
