no not true. Many Americans drink daily and are not considered alcoholics. Alcoholics have a PROBLEM with drinking (IE can't stop once they start )

North Americans (United States Americans) have a huge issue with any consumption that is not strictly christian in it's function. If you have more than a couple of drinks a week, you are bound to hear that you have an issue and be encouraged to "get help" . The truth is, most of the world intakes alcohol on a daily basis. It's part of the culture and has many health benefits. Your only an alcoholic if the booze that you drink is ruining your life and preventing you from holding a job, having a healthy relationship or has caused internal bleeding.

um no! alchoholics are people who drink every day, sometimes multiple times a day.

the irish are drinkers, but not alchoholics.
