I would recommend a book titled, "The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook" the authors last name is Bourne. My psychologist had me buy this book after I had such a bad panic attack I had to call 911. It has really helped, it has a lot of great advice.

Panic attacks are different for everyone. I suggest that you don't drive until you get it under control though. Wouldn't want it to cause a wreck and hurt you or anyone else

Dont worry,
Your room will not be that small to cause the panic. You can have free range of the Hospital once your Doc gives you permission to be moved around. It will be ok

You need to get on anxiety meds asap. It helped me greatly. Any antidepressant for long term or xanax/ativan as needed. Your MD can prescribe these prior to surgery so you don't get anxious.
