Im serving wine and cheese and thought I might get some ideas here. Im serving a chardonney, savignon blanc, pinot grigio for whites and zinfindel, cabernet, merlot, pinot noir for reds and an 8 yr port and a 15 yr port.

All suggestions are appreciated!

Oh yes! Most importantly, if you know brands, that would help a lot! I'd also like to include a triple cream. Thanks!

There are some great portuguese cheeses that go well will heavy bodied wine. Go to chese.com and there are lists of cheese to match the wine. I just did a presentation on cheese from portugul today. With the port wine you are going to need a heavy cheese like Bica-select or a sargio.

Sometimes it's hard to find specific brand names. If you can, I'd recommend these:

Rembrandt Aged Gouda
Cabot Extra Sharp White Cheddar

I would also suggest including one of each of these cheeses:
Brie
Parmigianno Reggiano
Smoked Gouda

If you have a Wild Oats grocery store in your area, I would recommend going there and talking to their cheese expert. The selection is far better than the typical grocery store. They often have excellent suggestions and may let you sample their cheeses of the day.

Make a cheese platter with an Irish Blue Cheese, and Brie from President's choice, an extra sharp cheddar, and a rich swiss cheese.

grueyre(soft), an english cheddar(country sharp), a blue cheese(tangy crumbly), and either gouda or edam(semi soft/firm creamy taste). these are all different so your guests can enjoy them all. and they go great with wines!!
