Blasphemy only offends the religious leaders because it threatens their ability to create, and accumulate great wealth and power, the church says it is a sin not God, it is religious insanity that creates, and protects it's gold mine.

Blasphemy is the ultimate show of disrespect toward God. Is uttering racial epithets a victimless crime? After all, it's only offending people who happen to be of that race. Is gossip a victimless crime? After all, it only offends people who are being gossiped about. What about if it never gets back to the person, thus the person is never offended? Does that make gossip victimless and thus "right"?

I get very offended when people laugh at shows about monkeys or belittle them while at the zoo. They are related to me through a common ancestor and shouldn't be blasphemed against.
Or does Blasphemy only apply to the Christian God?

Blasphemy does offend God because God is holy and hates evil. Blasphemy also harms the person commiting it because the person's heart is further hardened with price and malice making them a miserable person indeed.
I'm not saying God cries into His pillow everytime someone blasphemes or takes His name in vain. Rather, it is simply a fact that a good and perfect God is automatically disrespected by such things.
It would be like me saying nasty things about your mama. Even if it wasn't right to her face, you would still find it disrespectful.
God bless you.

Disagree. Blasphemy, or Defamation of Character, hurts the person it is directed towards. There was plenty of blasphemy directed towards woman, in the old testament.

No. Blasphemy harms any individual who hears it even if they don't realize it at the time. It degrades all of us. I don't believe that not believing is a sin. It is a fact of life for some people and it will mean their eventual destruction.

there's no such thing as a victimless crime, because without victims there would be nobody to call it a crime

He needs nothing from mortals. The blasphemer is the self imposed victim by cutting himself off by rejecting the source of his being. It's like suicide. Who really becomes the victim?
If God really does exist, whether you know it or not, the crime still exists regardless of what you want to believe.

Well, there's a difference between a sin and a crime. Crimes are against the law. There is no law against blasphemy, so your whole argument goes out the window.
