Grants are available to all types of people...but the problem is they are hard to get. Finding the grants are easy, but writing the grants and submitting them are the hard part.

I am also a stay at home Mom and am currently in college. I can tell you now that you will not be able to go to college completely free but there are a few things to help you. First fill out your FASFA. You can do this by going to www.fasfa.gov You will need your most recent tax information to do this. This is how you apply for your Subsidized and Unsubsidized college loans. Also when you fill out your FASFA you will recieve an EFC number (Expected Family Contribution). If your EFC number is low enough (Mine is) you will recieve a Pell Grant which does not need to be repaid. Also, when you find out what college you want to go to and apply there you may be eligible for a Perkins loan.

Keep in mind that whatever amount you do end up owing, you do not have to repay while you're in school which helps alot.

Good luck to you, and remember that if you really want to do it talk to an admissions counselor at the college you want. They will help you with all your financial aid and grants and such. If you really want to you can do anything you want, so keep your mind set to acheive your goals :)

No, no longer probably. as far as college supplies you're worried there's a internet benefit in the top. the guy getting the grant will graduate, earn larger wages, and pay extra in earnings tax than if that they had no longer. additionally, college grads tend to enhance little ones who exchange into college grads and better tax payers. that is an fullyyt diverse condition than welfare whilst the guy getting welfare is truthfully no longer employing the money to bypass up the earnings chain. edit i could additionally accept as true with RitchWilliams below. there is not any such element as company welfare besides, for an identical reason college supplies you're no longer welfare.
