Are some men frightened of rejection from women? Do some just keep dropping hints and saying certain things to prove they like you? Will they eventually ask us out once they feel secure that we like them back?

When it comes to men and rejection, we (as men) aren't given the credit we are due for that vunerability and sensitivity. As far as I've seen (myself and a few select others) men are scared to death of rejection. We like to feel that we are not only wanted but desired and when rejected it chips away at that perverbial ego that all men (gay or straight)) have weather they like to admit it or not. As for myself, I generally do not approach women because of my fear of rejection which makes me miss out on some possible dating opportunites. So in closing, I would say that yes men can be scared and every now and then want the women to make the first move, it helps with comfort level and security.

Some men are afraid of rejection, usually when they are inexperienced with women or when they are dealing with a woman that they are really fond of. Many women are afraid of rejection as well, but the man operating in the role of pursuer takes the pressure off women most of the time. If you like a guy who is a little shy and afraid of rejection, maybe you should make the first move.

Yes, but I honestly believe women are even more afraid.
Some guys will say anything, act silly or show off to prove they like you. Well, at least around friends.
I have to say yes on your last question. Don't be too shady, you have to at least show a couple plausible signs.

of course..but it depends on what man is he like...if the guy is serious, romantic and a rare one-woman guy then the more the fear of rejection..just like me hehe..just goes by the saying that "a man who doesn't fear doesn't know how to love"...

I think guys refuse to be rejected,especially when they are pretty much confident of themselves!
