I'd rather serve in the King's palace than reign in the most pitiful sewer for eternity... but you wouldn't be reigning in hell, anyway, you'd just be a servant for Satan, so it's not a question of whether you favor power over servitude. The real question is, if you had the choice of being a servant to an entirely moral and righteous God or of being a servant to the master of evil, why *wouldn't* you choose God?

My on an frequently happening basis answer shrink grow to be reached previously, so i could no longer respond while this grow to be published. I additionally like John Milton's "Paradise lost"; relatively how he wrote devil's attitude. i take advantage of some of the poems metaphorically for guy's prideful nature. right here finally we can be unfastened; the Almighty hath no longer equipped right here for his envy, won'tcontinual us subsequently: right here we'd reign maintain, and in my option to reign is worth ambition in spite of the incontrovertible fact that for the time of Hell: better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven!

Sorry Justsyd, but hell is in the bible. (check sources below) To answer the question, I'll take heaven ANYDAY! Does anyone think that if they went to hell they would actually reign there? I think the devil would have something to say about that!

Reign in Hell.
I don't believe in God or Satan or any of that, but if I did believe the stories, I would think Satan sounded pretty kickass. He had his pride, he knew he was just as good as God, and he didn't feel like being subordinate. Good for him, I'd have done the same. I don't have low enough self esteem to be happy serving someone day and night.

I refuse to serve anyone, and quite frankly I don't want to reign either (running things is like being the head of a daycare).

Hell is a church concept that is not in the bible. In the original Hebrew and Greek languages in which the Bible was written, four words are translated "hell" in English. The four words convey three different meanings.
The Hebrew word sheol, used in the Old Testament, has the same meaning as hades, one of the Greek words translated "hell" in the New Testament.
