There is no piece of the chess board that would represent, completely the Christian. They are bond servants to the King who loves them and cares for them.
Chess is a military strategy game where the king is willing to sacrifice any of the other pieces in order to win the game, even if it meant to sacrifice his queen.
Christianity, on the other hand, would be similar to the king sacrificing himself so that all of the other pieces, on both sides of the board, would win.

I don't play chess - never have, so I don't understand what the pieces mean. With regard to my service to Christ, I am whatever Jesus wants me to be. It might be a pawn, as you say, or it might be a knight. It doesn't matter to me. Whatever direction I feel that Christ is leading me to, that is the direction I try to take. I know when I am making the right choice because I have a peace about it in my soul.

I'm a pawn. But I know that a diligent and faithful pawn can aspire to become a queen!

I'm a bystander, enjoying the fact that the other side doesn't actually have a king to defend, and therefore cannot lose.
Have fun.

I'm the potato chip that fell on the board.
I'm not a threat, but I don't help either side. I think they both need to quit fighting, or all us little potato chips will be crushed along with you.

Are we talking about the Ron Jeremy Collectors Edition Chess Board, or a traditional chessboard?

A pawn.
When Jesus Christ came to earth, He was a pawn. He could have come as a glorious king but "He humbled Himself taking the form of a servant."
He told His father "Not my will but thy will be done."
If being a humble servant is good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me.

I guess since and do the door to door ministry, i guess I would consider myself a knight trying to protect good hearted people from satan by teaching them about GOD.

I am a pawn. God tells me what he wants done and I do it (with his help). I pale in comparison but He has allowed me to walk hand in hand with Him every day.
