As a buddhist myself, i don't believe in faith.
My friend as christian himself, he believes in faith.

now, i am confuzed.

"Forget the words, keep the meaningful aspects of Christianity. Forget the irrelevant doctrines yet still adhere to Buddhist practice. " Do you agree?

Well, i do. Only when you stand in different angle.

Buddhist belief:
-Everything is a illusion to me, which is empty/nothing.
-what goes to you, comes back to you.

Take an example:
There is a house. To the christian, it is a house(full-stop).

To me, it is nothing. Because it is a flat land at the start.

We buddhist practice to believe in "nothing". Because IF we choose to see it as a house, we are facing illusion since it doesn't exist at the start, until people build it.

Now goes to christian belief: such as Hell or heaven, or bible or god. Do you choose to believe in nothing or still pretend to stay in this illusion state?

I am confuzed. Pls Comment =)

Your comments prove to me what I have discovered about Buddhism in the past. It seems like escapism to me.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck (and tastes like a duck?) then you can be pretty sure it's a duck.

A Buddhist looks at it and says "it's not there." Why deny the common sense God gave you?

A Buddhist faces suffering and says "I am not suffering." Why deny what makes you human?

Jesus Christ submitted to suffering. He did not deny it or try to escape from it.

Buddhism is not in touch with reality. People need answers and solutions, not escapes........

Faith in Jesus Christ is a gift we should pray for. Faith gives us eyes to see the world with new eyes and strength to face whatever comes, be it suffering or bliss.

God bless you.

I am confused myself. I'm not sure I understand your question. I will say, as a Christian, that I sort of get what you are saying about a house versus flat land. The thing about Heaven and Hell on the other hand, is that they never did start out as nothing. They always existed - contrary to everything on this earth, which did not exist until they were created by God.

A person on a long journey would never stop to carry so many things along with him to the next journey but that does not mean he should isolate himself from enjoying what he is accorded.

Take, buy and own the house but remember, it is not yours forever. Because, for everything, the ultimate owner is Him. He give and take as He please.

smoke a joint
you will see that truth
is not caught in a net of words or thoughts
but exists only in the free and spontaneous moment
you have to ride it like a surfer
if you are to far to the left
the past swallows you up
if lean to far forward
the future will cloud your mind
