I think moms are a pretty good judge of this. Mine was and I was when it came to my daughter. as a matter of fact I think they are good at judging friends as well...... Call it gut feeling

You talk to her and figure it out why. But, by experience, moms are almost if not always right. So talk to her and pay attention to what she says, maybe there is something she notice that u have been "blind by love" to figure it out.
Ur other option is give it a try, at the end its just between u 2 and not ur mom.

Some parents can be intruding , but i think tey're just like that cause there protective and wouldn't like their son or daughter getting heart broken or used. So its up to you really, if you like someone thats your business, maybe just go around to his house, or your house depending on which parents are being difficult.
