and everyone i know has said the same who live in a wide radius of the south east,has anyone else noticed this and has any theories?

It's possibly sand from the Sahara that got picked up by the Scirocco winds in North Africa - this is a regular phenomenon in the south of England.

This happened last year as well, it was something to do with dust storms somewhere in the world, my parents live in south east london and all the cars are covered in it.

Your car has been abducted and taken to Mars. This is a very common thing in the Southeast.

the dust could be from anywhere. its been picked up in a cloud and then dropped on your car when it rained.
