Yes. It happened to me when I was a teen. I got a pimple near my lip, and I tried to pinch it, but instead of popping out, the pus "backfilled" into my lip area. It became very swolen and was really humiliating. I had to go to the doctor, where they numbed it, cut open a small area to drain the pus, and gave me antibiotics. The nurse said that that happens oftentimes with wrestlers (I guess sliding across the mats.)
Once in a while, if I get a blemish near there, I'm always afraid of it re-inflaming.
But whether it's an abcess from a pimple or something else, it's best to have it checked out by a dermatologist or your family doctor.
Good luck!

My entire bottom lip got swollen once and it was an allergic reaction to an insect bite. I don't even remember getting stung or bitten. I went to a doctor and had to get an antihistimine shot. I recommend that you see a doctor. Over the counter antihistimines did not work. I had to get a shot.

Yes its quite possible. Just leave it alone and see what happens.
Its also possible that you bit your lip in your sleep, or an outside chance it could be the beginnings of a cold sore.
Good luck, feel better soon.
