Actually it doesn't.

The closest is Yeshua, which in English would be translated as Joshua.

Josh Saves! just doesn't have the same ring to it. Josh? Didn't I have Study Hall with him?

Most of modern Christianity's ideas don't actually exist in the original texts, but through erroneous translations and manipulative editing practices.

And lies. Don't forget the boat loads of lies.

Question; Is the asker presently looking for the explicit word 'Jesus' or the person of Jesus in scripture? If the person of Jesus; Gen. 2:4. (Lord (not lord) was the Lord Jesus Christ). Keep in mind also the English term God, comes from several terms in Hebrew; some singular (such as El, some plural (such as Elohim. spelling ?). So Jesus may have been in the group earlier than that (See John 1).

Hi I hope all is well. Jesus' name is mentioned several times in the Bible. The first time his name is mentioned is in his geneology in Matthew 1 " A record of the genealogy of JESUS Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham". His name is literally mentioned 1277 in the Bible, but it is His words that are written in the Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke John.

No where, for the true name of the Messiah is Yahushua. Miss translation has ended up with Jesus.

It's spiritually discerned...but his name is mentioned in the New Testament and he was spoken of by the character of His name in the Old Testament.

Yes, we know that his name in Hebrew is Yeshua. But he is also called, Emmanuel, "God with us." His title is Messiah, which means, the Anointed One.

Try reading the scriptures!

Peace,

Hope
