I hope I can answer this to your liking. The Japanese straightening, or Thermal reconditioning in the US, is a process that puts your hair through a washing, blow-drying, hair protein application (if needed) and 2 applications of serum. The first application breaks the hair's disulfide bonds. They rinse that, blow dry partially, and flat iron in small section. And lastly they apply a second serum that which reforms the broken disulfide bonds, rinse, comdition, and blow dry again. WHEW! They say don't wash your hair for at least 2 -3 days, so that you don't reverse the process. This process is different from that of using relaxers to smooth out the hair. The procedure takes four to eight hours, depending on the length and volume of one's hair. Beauty salons in Los Angeles, California charge upwards of $500 USD to perform this procedure. Some salons in Chinatown, New York charge under $200 for the same procedure. In Canada, prices usaully start at $200 CDN to $500 CDN. In Korea, the procedure costs 30,000-150,000 won (30-150 USD). In Japan, the procedure costs around 10,000-20,000 Yen (about $90 - $180)

Relaxers basically use chemical treatments to staighten the hair. Shorter time to do, but more damage in the long run if you do not regularly condition the hair.

Japanese straightening uses heat. When Japanese straightening, you go through steps of blowdrying and flat ironing the hair along with applying the product. Relaxers are applied but with no extra work like ironing, strictly chemical. This is why Japanese straightening is more expensive, its much more labor. Flat ironing when relaxing is only used as a finish style.

Relaxers does not use heat. Relaxers straightens the curl pattern. Relaxers contain Sodium Hydroxide-lye or Guanidine Hydroxide-no lye.

dont do a relaxer, i've got heard approximately alot of persons whos hair falls out after a pair cases. jap or different nicely-called thermal hair straightening, its truly stable, and you purely would desire to pass in for touch united statesafter your hair grows out some.....and it circumstances your hair. so it finally ends up that your hair gets a deep conditioning and a straightening job, yet its VERY extreme priced idk. 'bout the brazilian striaghtening. srry.
