No, no longer once you're a believer. Gutenberg purely industrially produced what the Church maintained via hand. Gutenberg gave us the movable style printing press, no longer the bible. human beings do no longer ought to have a bible or additionally be waiting to verify for that count, that's why they went to church interior the 1st place, in the previous the introduction of the printing press, to take heed to the be conscious in the previous there have been literate human beings interior the final inhabitants. a extra robust question is what got here approximately to the folk in the previous there have been church homes???

Who says you have to have the bible to be a good person with morals? No one can say morals and good people didn't exist before the bible.

Are you serious?
People wrote them by hand before that. And religious officials would read them to the people. It was pretty simple, and did not require a freaking printing press. There were tons of books before the printing press. Read some history!

Bible's not needed, most people can figure out Morals.
So I'll answer your amended question with, Bible's were hand transcribed before Gutenberg so only your church had them on hand, If you were fortunate enough to know how to read, you could go to the church and read the Bible there.

The Bible isn't NEEDED to be a moral person. No church teaches that. It's a great book nonetheless.

Well before the bible was mass produced and translated to the common languages-- many people went to church to hear the word of God -- so it was up to the priest/bishop to spread the word accuratley from bibles that were hand written by monks however there were many priests/bishops that took advantage of that and used it for thier own good and power. But many people who had Christianity brought to them followed the word of God that was spoken them -- the better question would have been how did people act before the Word of God was brought to them, I think....

IT was Spoken and they heard. The bible was also written is other languages way before it was written in English. It's not hard to understand. Even at one time the word was with them. and some still didn't believe . God has his way of getting his word to those who want it . There it is!!

I don't know who Guttenberg is, I may be ignorant on that. But there is scripture where God says " I shall write my law on their hearts"...............that way, they naturally know right from wrong.
