The teaching of the rapture the way it is taught in most churches today is false. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God will one day take all the righteous people away without warning. Although one can twist the scriptures to seem that way. I think it is sad that christians are fooled into believing that they will not have to suffer the trials and tribulations becasue they won't be here. So what does the Bible say?? Here are some examples

Matt 24 says And those days shall be like the days of Noe, people were marrying and given in marriage untli the flood came and swept them away. In those days shall two be in the field, one shall be taken, the other left, two shall be in bed, one shall be taken the other left.

So who is getting taken? Well if its like the days of Noe (Noah) then the unrighteous were taken, not the righteous. Also Jesus gave a parable of a farmer (God) who had sown wheat (God loving Humans), when the enemy (devil) came and threw in Tare seeds. Tare is a plant that looks very much like wheat, especially in the early stages, but in time chokes the wheat. The farmers (angels) asked the farmer should take up the tare? The farmer said no, lest you cut the wheat along with the tares. Instead let them both grow, and then we can tell the difference and then shall we cut and gather the tares and throw them into the furnace. Again this is the evil being take, not the good. There are many others but I dont have the sapce to list them all, so I leave you with this last one,

In Thessalanians Paul says, Let no man decieve you concerning that day (Christ's return) for it shall not come till there come a falling away first, and the son of perdition (antichrist) shall reveal himself.

Another false teaching is that we "go" to heaven. The Bible does not teach this. It shows clearly that heaven will come to th enewly created Earth. What sense would it make for God to raise us from the dead to heaven, then whenever its time to come to earth for th ewicked send us back down to earth, and then have judgment and enter into the new kingdom.

Instead, the Bible shows that we must go through trials and tribulations as Christ told us, Through much trials and tribulations shall you enter the Kingdom of heaven.

And a personal question I have always wondered, why does the Bible even go on to tell us about the tribulation and such if we arnt going to be there, who is it talking to then?

Give it some thought. As timothy says, Study to show thyself approved, a workman who needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Only God knows the time to rapture the church. No one but God can create the rapture. The world won't know what hit it. Since there will be no Christians around it will be easy for the sceptics to explain why there are no Christians.

Mankind cannot possibly know the day nor the hour of the Rapture, so there's no "come when it's supposed to" about it! When God is ready, He will appear. Christians cannot instigate or create such an thing for we are mortal and material whereas God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

Many christians do not believe in a rapture per se (like me). The bible teaches it will happen (the end of mankind) all at once. And we can't create this. Only God.
