I think people both here in the states and britain forget they are hand in hand together in this, and BOTH parties should be given some gratitiude.

You are correct, the media has only focused on our own troops and not the other countries involved. I think sometimes we get overwhelmed with so many deaths from our own country that we forget everybody else but let me assure you that I do appreciate everyone who helps regardless of their country. The media and our government need to remind us that we are not doing this alone!

Well, the a large percentage of the British Public do support us however we would like to see more done by the British Government. A lot of our lads are returning home from Iraq & the Stan wounded & traumatised but are not getting the treatment they need.
Tony bLair & his government has recently closed the last of the six military hospitals, leaving wounded soldiers to fend for themselves.
Our Allies are suffering the same losses,if not more,in the way of death's on Ops.We are grateful that we can fight side by side & equally feel the pain when a comrade in arms,no matter the nationality,is killed or wounded.

BritLandAmy ... You're right, of course. We can never do enough for those who are devoted and patriotic enough to voluntarily stand-up and give a hand for the cause of their nation's defense.

I tell you ... There's one thing I REALLY like about the way the Brits do a certain thing. I don't know whether military service in the U.K. is compulsory or not, but here in the U.S., the media have made mention several times about the service of Prince Charles' sons. I don't know whether the British expect this of the Royal Family's male members, but it's a fine way of leading by example. We need to adopt similar customs in the U.S.

Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbiajan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, El-Salvador, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Muldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, South Korea, the United Kingdom AND the United States are all to be thanked and deeply appreciated for their vigilance against those who would return us to the dark ages. The press in this country (US; driven by power-hungry politicians and business people who want theirs NOW and wish to make this a "global economy" first and foremost) is largely to blame for the lack of good information available to people.
I say it takes a true hero to volunteer to put your life on the line for an ideal. Thank God for each member of these countries' service. Thank you for asking.
